Kyamukoona Skills Centre
Kyamukoona Skills Centre fills an important vacuum for those who leave school, but cannot continue in other learning centres, either because they lack the minimum educational requirements or because they cannot afford them.
Milk-Goat Breeding Programme
The aim is to improve the local breed of goats, which are often small and produce little milk. By artificially inseminating adult females with the sperm of a pedigree milk-buck, her half-bred offspring is the first step in improving the local breed.
Education Support
Learning 4 Life Africa runs a development programme for schools in rural areas of Mubende District in Uganda.
Fuel Saving Stoves
The fuel-saving stove technology is simple, low cost and easy to introduce in a poorly-educated community as it makes use of local materials which are readily available.
Agricultural Microcredit Scheme
Since 2007 the Agricultural Microcredit Loan scheme has changed the lives of 25,000 people in the rural area of Mubende. There are over 40 Farmer Groups in the scheme and a further 60+ on a waiting list, eager to join the scheme and be part of the enthusiastic group of leaders in our Training Seminars.
Key Farmer Trainers
They are young farmers from different parts of Mubende District whom we selected for a yearlong training course in sustainable organic agriculture at RUCID (Rural Community in Development) Organic Agricultural College in Mityana, Uganda.
